Life Application Questions for Proverbs


1.      We have repeated that “Knowing God” is much more important than “Knowing about God”.  How does “Knowing God” help us to be wiser?


2.      How does “Fearing God” make us wiser?


3.      In Proverbs is a voice of instruction. Who has been a voice of instruction in your life?


4.      What keeps us from listening to instruction or advice?


5.      Many in the church have become critical, scorners, complainers.  People with this attitude tend to be unteachable.  How do we get ‘scorners’ to become teachable so they can become wise.


6.      In what ways is God honored when we lead diligent lives?


7.      Words and the way we use them can be powerful.  In what ways can our words be a positive force in the lives we have contact with?  In what ways can our words be a negative force in the lives we have contact with?
