Joel - Life Application

1.      The invasion of the locusts was a judgment of God upon a people who had turned from Him.  How did the people respond to this ‘calamity’?

2.      Do you think God may use situations today to get the attention of  His people?

3.      What events do we face in our culture today that may possibly be God attempting to get our attention?

4.      The people put on sackcloth and ashes, fasted and repented.  What could we do today that might be the same as putting on sackcloth and ashes?

5.      Have you ever fasted?  How did you fast?  Why did you fast?  What was the outcome?

6.      Could fasting be a good demonstration of our repentance today?  Why?  Why not?

7.      How do we prepare for the end times?

8.      God uses the possessive pronoun ‘MY’ when referring to the people of Israel, Judah, the earth and everything in and on it.  How does this help us to acknowledge that our money, possessions, family even our time all belong to God?
