Zechariah - Life Application

1.       The message Zechariah had for the people of Israel was for them to repent and to be assured of God’s concern for them.  Why is it important for us to both be able repent and to be assured of God’s concern for us?

2.       God promises the people of Israel in Zechariah 1:3 “Return to Me and I will return to you”.  What do you think this statement / promise mean?

3.       Why is it important for us as the church to call people to repentance?

4.       Satan is alive and well on planet earth.  When have you clearly seen his work in your life or the lives of others?

5.       Sometimes people go through ‘fires’ of trials or trouble.  How do we learn/grow from these fires?

6.       We have learned from scripture that with restoration comes responsibility.  What responsibilities do you believe God has given to you?

7.       The purpose of the law given to the Hebrew people from God through Moses was for the purpose of revealing sin in the lives of the people and consequently their need to be saved.  What part of God’s law reveals to you your need for Christ’s redeeming work?

8.       Tradition, rules and religious regulations can affect the effectiveness of the church.  What do we need to do to make sure the living out of our faith is based upon God’s Word and not man-made traditions and rules?
