1. Joshua had seen many things in his life that
helped him to trust in the Lord. What
experiences have you had that have helped you to trust in the Lord?
2. Joshua
learned from Moses his entire life.
Moses saw to it that Joshua had opportunities to grow spiritually. In this sense Moses was a MENTOR to
Joshua. Who do you have in your life
that can serve as a mentor to you? Who
do you have in your life who needs you as a mentor for them?
3. When
we look at Rahab and how she demonstrates her faith by her actions, how am I
encouraged to demonstrate my faith through my own actions?
4. The
Israelites had a physical custom by which they were sanctified before the
Lord. How can we show a new beginning
with God in my own life for setting myself apart to serve Him?
5. What
was the purpose of the twelve stones from the Jordan River? How do I/We make sure our descendants never
forget what God has done for us?
6. Israel
went to war and defeated the civilizations that acted evil in the eyes of
God. As Christians we too are in God’s
army. How are we to do battle for God?
7. In
spite of seeing or hearing about how God worked for the benefit of those He
loved in Egypt, in the dessert as well as in the defeat of Jericho Achan still
was disobedient. Even though we know the
rules, have seen God in action and know the consequences we also are often
disobedient. Why do we do that?
8. The
Gibeonites deceived Israel and became ‘allies’. What are things that deceive us and we
become allies even though it is not in our best interest?

the land is distributed to the people if Israel, the term ‘inheritance’ is used
considerably. What is so significant
about the use of this term?
10. When
all is said and done, it all comes down to one thing and one thing only. I have to make a choice. That choice is am I going to go be obedient
to God or am I going to be obedient to Satan?
If I choose to be obedient to God, what can I do to ensure I stay that
way?
